The complex has a giant stairway made of limestone; it links the downtown area of Yerevan with the Monument neighborhood. Continue our journey to Northern Avenue with a stop at State Opera and Ballet theatre. The Avenue is well known as the home of luxurious residential buildings, high-end branded shops & restaurants. Our next stop will be The Republic Square. It is the central town square in Yerevan.

Our next stop will be Vernissage Market. Vernissage is an open–air exhibition-market functioning on the weekends. It was formed during the 1980s by Armenian artists who started to display their art works in the square. In addition to carved wood and art works, traditional carpets, old collections of coins and medallions, books, jewelry, musical instruments, electronics are found in the market.

Our last stop will be Gum Market, Armenia’s coolest fresh food market and the best local market in Yerevan to visit. Free time to discover the city at your own.

Day 3Yerevan – Tsaghkadzor - Lake Sevan - Dilijan Town - Parz Lake - Yerevan

Breakfast at the hotel, and our tour starts with a visit to Lake Sevan, the largest lake in the Caucasus and one of the highest ones in the world with fresh water, 1900 meters above sea level. There we can visit Sevanavank (monastery of Sevan) which is situated at the top of a small hill and enjoy a boat tour in the lake, depending on the weather condition (Not included).

Continue our tour with a visit to Tsaghkadzor, flower canyon in Armenian, a small town located north of the capital Yerevan, well known by its Ski Resort, ropeway and beautiful Kecharis Monastery. Kecharis is a medieval Armenian monastic complex dating back to the 11th to 13th centuries, in the ski resort town of Tsaghkadzor. We will enjoy the spectacular view of the surrounding mountains from the ropeway.

We will continue our tour with a visit to Dilijan resort town. The town is one of the most important resorts in Armenia, situated within the Dilijan National Park. There are many attractive, but “hidden” destinations in Dilijan; Lake Parz is one of them. It is a small lake located in the Dilijan National Park east of Dilijan town in Armenia. The lake was formed by natural climatic changes. The uniqueness of the lake lies in the fact that it is visited and beautiful in winter, spring, summer, and autumn. Additionally, Lake Parz can offer boat rides, Zipline etc (Not included). Continue Later, we will visit Haghartsin Monastery in the heart of nature near the town of Dilijan. Continue our visit to old Dilijan. Return to Yerevan.

Day 4Yerevan – Garni Pagan Temple – Geghard Cave Monastery – Yerevan

Breakfast at the hotel, a short drive will take you to Gari Pagan Temple.

The only standing Hellenistic style pagan temple in the whole Caucasus and the Armenian historic highland. Here, we will feel the depth of the history and culture. This temple was a genuine witness of the birth of one of the ancient Armenian kingdoms, Arshakuni kingdom of Armenia, during the first century AD. Additionally, the temple had witnessed the adoption of Christianity in Armenia, 301 AD.

Continue to Geghard Monastery which means the monastery of the spear. The story of this holy place is related to the spear that Jesus Christ was stabbed by. The other uniqueness of the abbey lies in the fact that part of it is engraved in the rock. It is worthy to mention that Geghard Monastery is a UNESCO heritage site.

Back to Yerevan free time afternoon to discover the city on your own.

Day 5Yerevan - Khor Virap - Areni - Jermuk Waterfall - Yerevan

Breakfast at the hotel. A morning drive will take you to Khor Virap Monastery in Ararat Province, south to Yerevan. Khor Virap’s notability as a monastery and pilgrimage site is attributed to the fact that Gregory the Illuminator, the main saint and the first Catholicos of the Armenian Apostolic Church, was initially imprisoned here for about 13 years by the Armenian King, Tiridates III. The word Khor Virap means ‘’deep pit’’, as a reference to the pit where Saint Grigori was imprisoned. We can also have an impressive view to Mountain Ararat, the resting place of Noah’s Ark according to the Holy Bible. Additionally, the site of Khor Virap was part of one of the oldest Armenian capitals, Artashat city, almost 2000 years ago.

Continue to Areni village where we will have a break for tasting the Armenian wine. After that, we will head to Noravank, the 13th-century Armenian Monastery which was built in a hidden place surrounded by red cliffs and mountains.

Our last destination will be Jermuk town, which is known for its Water Gallery. The true beauty of Jermuk is the waterfall popularly called “Mermaid’s hair” for its resemblance to long flowing hair. The water falls from a height of about 70 meters. One of the local attractions is the mineral water gallery, which is located in the center of the spa town. There are five types of local mineral water, with temperatures ranging from 30 to 57 degrees. The gallery has a very unusual appearance: water flows down grooves into large carved stone jugs.
